Security in modern digital world – technical challenges and cultural shift

Richard Guidoux

Richard has a rich history in Information Security spanning 20 years, and across multiple domains – including financial services, telecom, retail, and digital identity. Throughout his career, he has operated both as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, and has been CISO for multiple enterprise companies. For the past three years, Richard has served as CISO for Thales Digital Factory, where he had global responsibility for securing Thales Digital Platforms & Products, and embedding cybersecurity as a core value driver for customer trust & business growth for digital transformation. Prior to Thales, Richard worked as CISO at Carrefour France, and as deputy CISO for Orange. Richard maintains multiple industry certifications and remains active in various security communities (CISM, CISSP, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor & Implementer).

As CISO for GPD, Richard’s key focus areas include:

• Leading all aspects of InfoSec & SecOps for our platforms portfolio, governance and teams
• Bringing cybersecurity to the next level of global practices, data, network, cloud, application risk management, and compliance
• Developing security as a key differentiator for our digital platforms, products, and services
• Partnering with the Business Units to raise awareness of risks, provide clear and timely advice and to help position security as a unique strength of our digital platforms, products, and services.
